Call A Ride

C.A.R.S. is a shared-ride transportation program. Sharing the ride means that you may sometimes have to leave home a little earlier or wait a little longer for your return trip home so that other trips can be coordinated with yours.

What is Call A Ride Service?

C.A.R.S. is a shared ride transportation service available to the residents of Mifflin and Juniata Counties.  Shared ride means that you may have to leave home a little earlier than you would if you were traveling privately and you may have to wait a little longer for your return trip home so that other trips can be coordinated with yours.  Door to door service is available providing you have a free, clear and safe path from the door of your home to the door of the bus and that your lane or driveway is safe for our buses and for transporting clients.

Who is eligible?

Any resident of Mifflin or Juniata Counties is eligible to use the service, providing you are registered with our office.  Registration forms can be picked up at the C.A.R.S. office, on our website, or you may call for a form to be mailed to you.

How do I get a ride?

You may request a ride through our office, Monday through Friday.  Office hours are 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Requests for rides must be made by 12 noon the day before you need a ride.  If you need a ride for Monday, you must call by 12 noon on Friday, since the office is closed on Saturday and Sunday.  You may contact us by calling 717-242-2277 or 1-800-348-2277.
